TableGuide Privacy Policy

Terms of Service

Effective October 9, 2026

The short version

These terms are an agreement between you and TableGuide ("we," "us") for using our website, question app, and related services (the "Service"). By creating an account, joining an event as a facilitator, buying a plan, or sponsoring a group, you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you use the Service for an organization, you confirm that you're allowed to accept these terms for it, and "you" includes that organization.

1. What TableGuide is

TableGuide helps groups run guided conversations: organizers plan events and approve questions, facilitators show the questions at their tables on a phone, and attendees can take the conversation home.

Not medical advice. TableGuide is a discussion tool. It does not provide medical, mental health, legal, or other professional advice, and it is not a substitute for a doctor or counselor. Conversations are led by your volunteers, not by us. In an emergency, call 911. For a mental health crisis, call or text 988.

2. Accounts

3. The free plan

You can create an account, set up up to 3 events, write your own questions, and run them in the question app on one device of your own at no cost. Free runs show a "Preview" banner. Our writer, facilitator links, approving questions for other facilitators, take-home pages and QR codes, attendee follow-along and feedback, the reach report, and the partner program are available only on funded plans.

4. Plans and payment

5. Facilitator seats and fair use

6. AI-drafted questions and your responsibility

7. Your content

Your organization name, event details, take-home prompts, and questions (including approved AI drafts) are "your content," and you keep your rights to it. You give us permission to store, copy, process, and display your content only as needed to run the Service, including showing it to your facilitators and on your take-home pages, and sending event details to our AI provider when you ask for a draft. You confirm you have the right to use what you enter.

8. Acceptable use

Don't use the Service to:

Attendee contacts

If you turn on "Stay in touch" for an event, attendees may give your organization their email. Before downloading the list, you must name the mailing tool you'll use and agree to its terms. You agree to: email these people only about your organization's events; include a working unsubscribe link in every email; remove anyone who asks, including everyone on the removal list in your dashboard; never sell or share the list; and follow applicable law, including the CAN-SPAM Act. Sending to the list from a personal email account is not allowed. We record each download and may turn off this feature or close accounts that misuse it.

Attendee feedback

Funded events include an anonymous feedback form on the take-home page. Don't try to identify the people who answer, and quote a comment only if the attendee ticked "OK to quote," without their name. Feedback summaries are drafted by AI, may contain mistakes, and are included with funded plans without using a writer use.

9. Sponsorships

10. Partner program

11. Our property

The Service, including its software, design, and the TableGuide name, belongs to us. These terms give you a limited right to use the Service as offered while your account is in good standing. Feedback you send us may be used without obligation to you.

12. Ending use

You can stop using the Service at any time, and you can ask us to delete your account. We may suspend or close accounts that violate these terms or put others at risk. Where it's practical and lawful, we'll tell you why. If we end the Service entirely, we'll give reasonable notice.

13. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available." To the extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We don't promise the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that AI drafts will be accurate or suitable. We are not responsible for what is said at events or for decisions people make based on conversations.

14. Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, we will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data, or goodwill. Our total liability for any claim about the Service is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim or $100. Some places don't allow these limits, so they may not fully apply to you.

15. Indemnity

You agree to defend and hold us harmless from claims arising from your content, your events, or your violation of these terms or the law, to the extent the law allows.

16. Disputes

If you have a concern, please contact us first; most issues can be solved quickly that way. If we can't resolve it informally within 30 days, either of us may bring a claim in small-claims court or another court with jurisdiction. These terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the applicable laws of the state in which TableGuide is operated, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.

17. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. We'll change the date at the top and, for significant changes, give notice on the website or by email to organizers. Continuing to use the Service after changes take effect means you accept them.

18. Other terms

These terms and the Privacy Policy are the whole agreement between us about the Service. If part of these terms can't be enforced, the rest stays in effect. If we don't enforce a term right away, we haven't waived it. You may not transfer these terms without our consent; we may transfer them as part of a merger, sale, or reorganization.
